StudiesinDensity is an ongoing concentration on photographs and imagery-manipulations themed on the psychological, particularly phenomenological experience of ‘density’. Thus far the series has focused primarily on urban settings where, whether as-shot or with manipulation, the scene invokes a strong sense of spatial-anxiety.
While difficult to achieve or accurately represent via the small-scale format of a webpage, this ‘anxiety’ is not specifically claustrophobia (or agrophobia), but a more cognitive reflection on such spatial conditions.
